Looking for private dining in Rotterdam? The Library at ALTSTADT has its own entrance and is separate from the restaurant, with an internal connection. Settle in around the long wooden table, surrounded by books, art and the old façades of Delfshaven.
From a special lunch for two to a family dinner, birthday or business gathering for thirty. Your party has its own room and dedicated service, so there is space for conversation and time for one another.

Chef Hany and the kitchen team shape the menu around your wishes. Choose the number of courses; we will discuss the dishes, dietary requirements and the occasion together. A festive dinner, a business lunch or an extended evening: the menu is made for your gathering.

Would you like to extend your private lunch or dinner? Ask about drinks in the cellar bar, the Library’s private terrace or combining spaces. We will help you plan what fits your occasion and the available rooms.
Also for Christmas dinners, New Year’s drinks and company gatherings in December and January, independently of the theatre programme.

How many guests can join us?
The Library welcomes 2 to 30 guests. You sit together at one large fixed table in your own room.
Can we choose our own menu?
Yes. The chef creates a menu around your wishes. Choose two or three courses for lunch, or three to six courses for dinner. Tell us about dietary requirements and allergies when you enquire, so we can discuss the possibilities.
Is room hire charged separately?
Room hire is €250 per daypart or €70 per hour. For parties of 15 guests or more, there is no room hire charge. We agree on your preferred times and the applicable rate in your proposal.
Can we hire just the room?
Yes. Room-only hire is €250 per daypart or €70 per hour. Tell us what you have planned and which times you need.
Can we extend our gathering?
Yes. Ask about adding drinks, the private terrace or another space at ALTSTADT. We will discuss a combination that fits your plans and the available spaces.
