Looking for breakfast in Rotterdam-West? Start your morning at Aelbrechtskolk 3b. At ALTSTADT, you can take your time over breakfast, meet a friend or catch up with a colleague before opening your laptop. The old harbour is right outside.
Choose our ALTSTADT breakfast with a croissant, bread, egg, cheese, granola and coffee or tea. Or start with American pancakes or yoghurt with granola and seasonal fruit. Find the current choices, extras and prices on our breakfast menu.
On weekdays, we open at 09:00 from Tuesday to Friday. At the weekend, take things a little slower: Saturday and Sunday from 09:30. Breakfast is served until 11:00, with lunch available until 16:00.
No reservation needed for breakfast or a workspace in the restaurant. Just drop in.

Sometimes a different table is all you need. If you are looking for a café to work in Rotterdam, you are welcome in our restaurant throughout the day. Settle in for your emails, a piece of writing or that project you want to move forward.
Good Wi-Fi keeps you connected; lovely coffee and something to eat make it easy to stay. Work through the morning, take a lunch break and carry on in the afternoon. You choose the rhythm of your day, within our opening hours.

A separate room for your team.
Planning a breakfast meeting, a brainstorming session or a working day with your team? Alongside a place in the restaurant, we offer separate rooms. The library has one large fixed table for up to thirty guests, its own entrance and a private terrace.
Let us know when you want to come, how many people are joining and whether you would like breakfast, lunch or drinks. We will discuss the right space, availability and a proposal for your visit.

When can I come for breakfast?
Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 09:30. Breakfast is served until 11:00. We are closed on Mondays.
Can I work here with my laptop all day?
Yes. You are welcome to work in our restaurant throughout opening hours. Come for a morning, an afternoon or a whole working day, with good Wi-Fi and coffee close by.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have good Wi-Fi for guests working at ALTSTADT. Ask our team for the connection details when you arrive.
Do I need to book a workspace?
You can drop into the restaurant to work. If you need a separate room, contact us beforehand so we can discuss availability and your plans.
Can I have breakfast with colleagues?
Of course. Meet over breakfast and stay to work together. For ten or more people, please use our group enquiry so we can arrange your visit.
Can I book a private meeting room?
Yes. We have separate spaces for meetings and working together, including the library with one large table for up to thirty guests. Tell us your date, group size and catering wishes and we will make a proposal.
