Our POP UP menu starts with what’s available locally and in season. Each week brings a new menu for Thursday, Friday and Saturday: a choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts. Everything is local, fresh and seasonal.
The table has its own stories, too. All our crockery is second-hand. Each plate has had a life before finding a place at ALTSTADT. Individual pieces with character, ready for another evening around the table.
During the day, ALTSTADT is still your neighbourhood Kantine for coffee, lunch and drinks. In the evening, settle in at the POP UP restaurant. The same place by the harbour, with something new on your plate.

A short menu that keeps changing. Choose from three starters, three mains and three desserts, guided by the season and what’s available locally. The photographs give you a feel for our food; the dishes on your night may be different.
Make an evening of it.
Most evenings also bring a performance at the theatre in the same building. Dinner first, then the show. Tell us which performance you’re attending when you book, so we can time dinner around it.
After dinner, head downstairs to our cellar bar for drinks and cocktails. There’s time to linger after the last course.
